I was surprised at how unsettling some of the stories are, even as an adult. It’s a mix of scary, funny, and strange tales. A couple of them didn’t land as well for me, but overall it’s a great set and worth having on the shelf.

These stories still hold up after all these years. They’re simple but effective, and the illustrations are downright eerie. My kids are a little older now, and they loved listening to me read them aloud. It turned into a fun family tradition.

If you want a good scare without committing to a long novel, these books are perfect. I read them around the campfire with friends, and we all had a blast. The set is a nice collection to have, especially since it includes all three volumes together.

I liked the books a lot, though I will say some stories felt a bit short or ended too abruptly. Still, that’s part of their charm—they leave a lot to your imagination. The creepy drawings more than make up for the simplicity of some of the tales.

This set is fantastic for anyone who grew up in the ’90s. The artwork alone is enough to give you chills. I read them with my niece, and she was both scared and excited, which is exactly what I hoped for. A great way to share something from my childhood.

A fun set if you enjoy spooky tales. The stories aren’t long, which makes them perfect for quick reading before bed (if you dare). Some of them are scarier than I expected, while others are more on the silly side. I enjoyed the mix overall.

These books brought back so many memories from when I was a kid. I remember passing them around at sleepovers, and they’re just as creepy now as they were back then. The illustrations are haunting, and the stories are short but stick in your mind. Definitely a nostalgic collection for me.
